We went to see the Evansville Otters play the Southern Illinois Miners tonight in some minor league baseball action. They Otters ended up losing 5-4 but it was fun to be at the ballpark. A pretty good crowd as well. The Otters play at Bosse Field which is a pretty historic ballpark.
Here are a couple interesting facts…
1. It is the 3rd oldest ballpark, built in 1915 with only Fenway Park in Boston (1912) and Wrigley Field in Chicago (1914) being older.
2. Opening Day in Bosse Field was on June 17, 1915.. and the seat prices were:
- $0.75 Box Seats
- $0.50 Grandstand
- $0.25 Bleachers
