clock.jpgToday we went to church at BTChurch and took in their Edge service. A band called Abandon led worship and did a good job. It was great service and God showed up in a huge way. So.. when the pastor got up to speak, he said that he had a confession to make to every one here. He referenced to the passage in 2 Samuel where David talks about becoming “undignified” before the Lord. He confessed that he felt the Lord was nudging him to worship will all he had, and was wanting him to dance. The pastor said that he was thinking to himself.. what would my daughter (who was sitting right next to him) think if her dad started dancing and jumping.. what would my wife think..? Then he talked for like 2 or 3 minutes about how we need to give the Lord everything when we worship Him. He then started praying and broke down weeping. It was so real. You could just feel the presence of the Lord in the place at that point. After he got done praying he said that he couldn’t remember what he was going to speak on.. so he asked the band to come back down and have a worship time. It was interesting when the band came down.. you could tell that they weren’t really prepared to lead more worship or be spontaneous.. but once they started.. it was like the Lord kept leading everything. I know this.. because I’ve done it before. When the Lord is leading.. you just keep going. GOD was there in a HUGE way.

This afternoon we went over to help my mom and dad do some more moving. They just bought a house about a week ago, and are getting slowly moved in. Hopefully we can get the rest of their stuff moved in by tomorrow.

I watched the ESPY’s every year. It’s usually always a good time, seeing all of the athlete’s get awards and all of the memorable moments and what not. And, from what I can remember the last 5 or 6 hosts have been awesome. So.. was it just me.. or was Jimmy Kimmel and Lebron James awful combination? I mean Jimmy Kimmell has always been funny to me, and I love Lebron.. but seriously? I thought the humor.. the props.. everything they did was terrible. I can get into dry humor, but I felt like it was a drought. Was it just me? Or did anybody else find them kinda boring?

I’m right there with you Jon. Embarassing. I mean, I was getting that this-is-really-awkward-please-make-it-go-away feeling as I was watching.

wow that sounds like a really special time of worship. I love when God shows up like that.
